Some of us have a penchant for putting curtains up in our houses.
But for others, it’s a way to keep the family out of sight.
The curtains may look good in the evening, but they don’t have the same impact at night, says Laura Smith of the British Garden Museum in London.
“If you have a curtain in your front room, you don’t need a curtain down the back.
So you can’t see the people, so that’s not good,” she says.
And if you do have curtains, how do you decide what to do with them?
Some people are more concerned about keeping things tidy.
For example, if you’re a minimalist, you may choose to put a curtain up only on your bed, or perhaps even in the bedroom.
“I do have a very strong attachment to my bed, and I like the feeling of the curtain up there, so I don’t mind leaving it up,” says Smith.
For others, curtains are just a fun way to make themselves look more at home.
“People think curtains are a sign of wealth and success,” says Jane Gower, a designer and decorator based in Liverpool.
“But it’s actually quite an innocuous object.”
She adds that if you want a more formal look, you can also opt for a vintage piece of fabric or an ornamental ornaments.
“A decorative curtain is a nice thing to have on your walls,” says Gower.
But, she says, “it’s not the right way to go about decorating your home.”
In this video, you’ll learn how to make a curtain hang from the inside of your own bedroom.
In the video, we’ll show you how to hang curtains from the ceiling, and then, when you have your curtains hanging, we will show you some of the different ways you can decorate your home with a decorative curtain.
What are curtains made of?
They come in a variety of colours, and they’re also made from different materials.
“Curtains are usually made from a very special type of fabric, such as cotton, or silk, or cotton-fibre.
They are very expensive, and these fabrics are usually very hard to get in the UK,” says Rob Gower from the British garden museum.
What makes curtains cling to walls?
The fabric used to make curtains is called silky fibres, and it has an elastic nature that makes it cling to the wall.
These fibres are used to attach decorative curtains to wall panels and to help them cling to a surface.
Can I use curtains to make my own bedding?
The answer is “yes”.
If you want to make your own bedroll, then you may want to think about adding some curtains to the top of your bedroll.
“This is actually an easy way to do it.
It’s not that difficult,” says Sarah Green of the London Bed & Baths.
“The idea is to put the curtain down to make it easy to pick up and to lay down the bedroll,” she explains.
How to get your curtains to hang?
There are a number of different methods to using curtains to attach to a wall, and some of them may involve some creativity and some patience.
“We’re all a bit more of a DIY kind of person,” says Green.
“You can just use a sheet of paper, or you can use a bit of tape, and use some glue or glue gun to attach the curtain to the back of the wall,” she adds.
“And then you can hang the curtains up by hanging them on a curtain rod, which you can then hang down your chimney.”
Is there a rule for how much curtain you can put up?
There is no specific rule about how much curtains you can fit in a bed.
“There’s no limit to how much you can have on the bed,” says James, from the Living Room Group in Brighton.
“In fact, you could put a lot of them in the bed.”
So what about the curtain rods you can buy at the market?
Some brands have a range of curtain rods that you can pick up, and which can be fitted to any bed.
You can also buy curtain rods from home supply shops or online.
If you are worried about putting up curtains in a room that is too dark, it might be best to use a curtain cover.
The cover can help hide the curtains from view, but it won’t make them hang higher than the curtain rod that you are attaching to.
If you are planning to put curtains up, however, there are some things you should know.
“It’s not really a good idea to put your curtains up on a balcony or anywhere else in your house,” says Edie, a consultant at the Living Rooms Group in Liverpool, UK.
“They are going to fall on the floor and become a
